Wild Caught Golden Threadfin Bream fish are a very versatile white plate-sized fish, easy to cook and look very impressive on the plate.

Approximately 150g - 300g each.

 

Nemipterus virgatus, the golden threadfin bream, is a species of threadfin bream native to the western Pacific, from southern Japan south to northwest Australia including the Arafura Sea.

Golden threadfin bream are typically about 9 inches (23 cm) in length.

Preparation: Can be prepared as sashimi, traditional nigiri sushi, boiled in soups and hot pots, or even grilled.  As a whole fish, eat the flesh from one side of the fish, then carefully lift up the back bone, it should come away with the other bones attached so you can eat the other side.

Product must be fully cooked prior to consumption.

Availability: All year round, while stocks last.

Shelf life: Best consumed on arrival or within 3 days from receiving product if defrosted.

Fish for your health: White fleshed fish is traditionally high in protein and low in fat. However, all fish provide an excellent source of Omega 3, an essential fatty acid which helps in lowering blood cholesterol and maintaining a healthy circulatory system.
