Bluenose is regarded as having premium fillets with medium to thick moist flakes which suit most cooking methods.
Bluenose are found in the temperate waters of the Southern Hemisphere. They like rough ground on the outer shelf and upper slope, especially from 100 to 500 metres.
Preparation: Bluenose is ideal for the BBQ, baked, marinated, poached, in soups/chowders or pan fried.
Availability: Available year round.
Shelf life: Best consumed on arrival or within 3 days from receiving product.
