They are common in cooler waters, and can be found at depths of 20 to 200 metres. Blue Warehou grow rapidly and live for about 10 years.
Preparation: It has medium-textured flesh with a low to medium oil content. Best suited to moist heat cooking methods, and in strong flavoured dishes, such as a curry.
