In Japan this product is considered a key part of a healthy diet. It's about 1/3 protein and 1/3 fiber. It also contains a variety of vitamins and minerals making it a super healthy meal or snack.
Over 600 square kilometers of Japan's coastal waters are used to grow seaweed for nori.
Preparation:
To make a hand roll, spread 1 tablespoon of the sauce diagonally down the centre of one nori sheet, then add a little wasabi on top, if using. Put 1 tablespoon of your cooked sushi rice and add your chosen fillings. Fold the bottom left corner of the nori over and begin folding into a cone shape.
