Generally our crayfish are an A or B grade, which equates to a size of approx 500gms for A and approx 700gm for B. You can buy larger grades (C,D,E,F) of our fresh/live crayfish on request. These are subject to market prices at the time.

Crayfish, otherwise known as rock lobsters, are abundant in New Zealand. Commonly found along rocky coastlines, they are harvested throughout the year.

Preparation: How to Cook Crayfish

Availability: Available year round.

Shelf life: Best consumed on arrival or within 5 days from receiving product.

Suggested wines: Most white wine varieties are well suited to crayfish. Try a fruity Chardonnay, herbaceous semillon, or a light sauvignon blanc or pinot gris.
